Hiiii new friends!!

My name is technically Rebecca, but everybody calls me Bec.

I’m an INFJ list-making type one on the enneagram who uses organic soap nuts as laundry detergent (I feel that says a lot about me) and dreams of living in a van. My Mr. is a pastor, our hearts are for the nations and our lives have been forever ruined for the ordinary by a really good and awe-inspiring God. I’m writing books and taking photos and scribbling poems and making mess.

If I’m not photographing, you will find me writing, reading, traveling, watching documentaries on minimalism, camping, hiking, or playing board games (most likely Wingspan, because it’s the greatest). Oh, and I’m also a Mum! I have the sweetest little boy.

I’m married! And have been since 2014.

When I was 18, tan and fresh out of High School I met a pale, cute Alaskan with a rich and swoony accent. I loved him then. Four years later and fresh out of University I packed up 23 years of my life into a couple of suitcases and moved to the other side of the world for this love of my life. We dated, got engaged in a Colorado thunderstorm, and were married in sunny Sydney in 2014. And so, I count love as serious business! A thing that’s worthy of chasing all around the world. A covenant that calls for big, bold and intimate celebration (as well as daily sacrifice, and a whole lot of other hard and wonderful things).

More about my Photography Style:

I’m unconventional in the sense that I won’t force emotion from you. I want to capture real and raw emotional imagery that is full of heart. I believe in curating moments and experiences as opposed to pose-and-smile portraits (although there is a lot of that on a wedding day as well. Don’t worry, I got you and your awkward uncles).

I love all the neutral colours and a whole lot of movement in my work. Blur is okay, because people are messy and wonderful and full of laugh lines.

I’ll do everything in my power to create an excellent product and experience for you, while making you as comfortable as humanly possible.

I take my job super seriously, and I’m so glad you’re here.

If it sounds like we’d be a good fit - let’s do this thing!
